IIRC, there's no good reason that RabbitMQ uses bare hostnames instead of FQDNs. Bare hostnames are simply wired into the invoking shell scripts. We could presumably present an option to the user if that were important. Cheers, John DeTreville RabbitMQ Pacific Rim Officeplex
