Whilst there's no law against it and the code in the default branch
has been QA'ed, you must be aware that this hasn't yet been formally
released and hence won't have been as extensively tested as other
features.

I think it comes down to how conservative you are and whether you want
to go into production today or in a few weeks time.

Obviously at the end of the day, whichever way you decide to go, I
would test it thoroughly first.
