Ah, it looks like you have got code from the tip of the Mercurial
repository, which is on a development branch.  I think this explains
your build problem.  Instead of downloading from the main repository
page, please download from

http://hg.rabbitmq.com/rabbitmq-c/rev/default

and

http://hg.rabbitmq.com/rabbitmq-codegen/rev/default
