I was just about to recommend an upgrade of a production installation
of 1.7.2 server (with BQL installed) to a client.

Can you give a non-official recommendation of the best combination of
the server and BQL would be (under consideration of the current state
of the umbrella)? Or is this just a case of suck it and see?
