[rabbitmq-discuss] hg version of RabbitMQ does not "make install" at Ubuntu 10.4

There is no mention of 'make install' at 
http://www.rabbitmq.com/plugin-development.html#getting-started, so you 
are using an undocumented feature :) As Matthew said though, we've 
raised a bug to at least make it fail in a more obvious way when the 
expected env vars aren't set.
