The plan is to develop 1.0 to a "recommended" or "Commitee Draft"
spec, after which full AMQP 1.0 broker implementations should be
developed. When two independent, proven conformant and interoperable
broker implementations exist, then 1.0 can be declared "final".
Changes *may* occur between "Commitee Draft" and "final" but they
should be *minor*.

We hope all the spec releases can be in 2010. Obviously "final" is
contingent on seeing proven broker interop and conformance. We
wouldn't want to rush that and mess it up. So that may be a practical
factor in slowing things down. But, in my personal view, the major
spec to keep an eye on is the *next* release aka "Commitee Draft".

Yes. To be precise: "The Committee Draft will only be promoted to
AMQP 1.0 Final once two materially independent implementations have
been developed and demonstrated to interoperate."

We are at least as ready as anyone else is.
