R14B-4 is fine for running rabbit (as per 
http://www.rabbitmq.com/which-erlang.html), but unfortunately the debug 
script I posted depends on functionality that only became available in R15.

Erlang is easy to upgrade; simply add the erlang-solutions repo to your 
installation, as per 
https://www.erlang-solutions.com/downloads/download-erlang-otp#tabs-ubuntu
