[rabbitmq-discuss] amazon EC2 instance "start-stop-daemon:user ''rabbitmq" not found"

Thanks Michael...
following your suggestion, there was another epmd rabbitmq process that I killed...
then when I tried reinstalling I am getting an error I have never seen before..
In addition there is nothing on the startup_err log (only a sentence "failed to start rabbitmq")
any suggestions?

at which point  rabbitmq-server kind of freezes (see pic) when trying to start

Make sure you don't have other instances or rabbitmq-server or epmd running,
then reinstall (optionally with package purging).
