I originally wrote this intending for it to be an April Fool's joke. But 
then I felt like overcomplicated April Fool's jokes are already too much 
of a thing in software, and it wasn't that funny, and anyway I was busy 
with DIY.

But I didn't want it to go completely to waste. So make of it what you will.
