[rabbitmq-discuss] unable to set .erlang.cookie file?

Hi

I am using rabbitmq 2.5.0 with erlang 14.b.2. i am facing problem when i
setting the cookies on node-2. i .i am using following method to set cookie
on node-2:

1.first i stop the node-2 using service rabbitmq-server stop
2.copy the node-1 cookies to node-2 :
 echo -n EOKOWXQREETZSHFNTPEY > /var/lib/rabbitmq/.erlang.cookie
3. service rabbitmq-server start

when i try to start service,i got the exception.

FAILED-cheack /ar/log/rabbitmq/statup_{log,err}

on statup_err file

erlang has closed 
crash dump was written to :erl_cash.dump
kernel pid terminated.....
.......
......

please tell me where the problem.
