Are you expecting the sizes for these partitions to be different?

I don't see the "/etc/init.d/rabbitmq-server  start" line in the v2.8.2
version. Can you confirm whether anything is written to the broker
logfile at the time when it should be starting? I assume you are able to
start the broker manually?
