Looks like you are on EPEL 6.

 From http://www.rabbitmq.com/install-rpm.html

Enable Erlang repository (RHEL 5 and derived, including Fedora 6 and 
CentOS 5)
If you are on a later version of RHEL (or derived) you should skip this 

So please remove /etc/yum.repos.d/epel-erlang.repo and commence step 3 
of the instructions.
