A few more questions...

- what version of the RabbitMQ server and client libraries are you running?

- do the clients have heartbeats enabled?

- you say that "This happens with the client that uses Java code and 
with the client using Spring Integration." - do you have a stack trace 
from a client that uses the RabbitMQ Java client library directly, 
rather than Spring Integration?
