[rabbitmq-discuss] Is the "master" node mandatory ?

  Hello,

We are using RabbitMQ 1.7.2 in cluster (2 nodes).

When the first node is not started, the second node cannot be 
started (AFAIK, because it need to wait for the "master" node to be 
up in order to replicate Mnesia tables).

My question: is this behavior mandatory ? What if we configure 
Mnesia not to wait for the master node to be up ? What side effects 
would it trigger ?
