I've just merged it. Thanks for keeping the code structure close
to the python one.

I couldn't resist a temptation to tweak a few things here and
there. Tell me if I broke something!

I also made sure that the php and python code is interoperable.

It's pretty cool to see that a message sent from python
can easily be delivered to php and the other way around.
