Gustavo,

The broker will accept an AMQP frame size up to 128Kb during the 
connection tuning phase of the protocol negotiation. This controls the 
maximum size of the frames that are accepted and produced by RabbitMQ.

The number 1500 sounds more like a transport layer MTU. RabbitMQ is not 
involved is setting this.
