[rabbitmq-discuss] PHP app needs amqp statistics for reporting

My team is working on adapting a PHP cgi-based application for bills and
payments into a distributed application with a multiple frontend nodes and
single transaction processing backend.

What are the recipes available to log the maximum amount of information
flowing over the RabbitMQ server we are deploying?
Is there more than one way to do it? Application-level or broker-level?

The idea is to allow the 'Reporting module' to show some real-time
statistics as well from the queue.
