[rabbitmq-discuss] apt-get install rabbitmq-server for 1.5.4 fails even though it succeeds (/etc/init.d/rabbitmq start doesn't daemonize)

Well, it looks like the problem might have been due to delays in dns
propagation (I had created the dns entries right before trying this and had
several other issues of things not working in a similar fashion).
In any case it worked fine the next morning after the DNS entries had
stabilized.
