Overkill to have something external than rabbitmq IMHO.
RMQ is so memory efficient that having a web framework
running next to it, and using 10 times more memory, just
to show statistics seems overkill. But more management
tools is useful so I'd vote for an API in RMQ that lets
anybody write a page or 2 of statistics in their app backend.
