The way we handle this in Rabbit proper is to allow any number type for a number, any string type for a string. This also reduces hassle for people declaring things over AMQP. Tony - is there a reason not to do this?<br></blockquote>
<div><br>That's the way the code already was. However, it was confusing two cases: a missing "port" argument, and a "port" argument of non-numeric type. I've just pushed a tweak to the error reporting that'll distinguish the two.<br>
