I think you can iron most issues out of it out... but COM needs some insightful desktop support types, because otherwise the burden for edge cases will probably fall on you (+ hope there aren't any sysadmins looking for their next power-trip).

The skillset / awareness that used to exist isn't there as much anymore. If you are doing people a favour, make sure that they know it + emphasise that COM probably isn't a priority for MS anymore, but that it is okay for the minute. i.e. good for a proof of concept, and maybe a little more. Sometimes there are people you'll go out on a limb for... you know how it is.

It eventually worked solidly, but the deployment was prone to COM styled config / machine dependent issues. Steer clear of COM if you can.
Hello

A search through the archives+google doesn't yield any
results though I have the suspicion this must have been tackled before -
what's the best approach for interfacing with RabbitMQ via VB6?

In
an ideal world there is a COM library out there that I just haven't
found yet - but if not, what else is there? I suppose there is the
possibility of wrapping up the .NET DLL in someting COM compliant, or
using the HTTP library. Just wondering if anybody else has had the same
issue.

Thanks,

Shaun
