It is intended to be, yes. At the 0-9-1 protocol version it definitely<br>
works with Qpid and OpenAMQ (I've tried it), though the 0-8 version<br>
doesn't interoperate so smoothly because of differing interpretations of<br>
the spec. I'd therefore recommend calling the extension "AMQP" instead<br>
of "rabbitmq".<br>
