[rabbitmq-discuss] RabbitMq node won't stop

I have a cluster set up with three nodes, and one of the nodes is 
exhibiting some strange behavior.   When I try to delete or purge a queue 
on that node, the call to delete or purge hangs.  Also when I try stop the 
node using rabbitmqctl stop_app, the stop_app command hangs.   Any advice 
would be greatly appreciated.  This is in a QA environment, so it isn't 
causing major pain, but I am concerned about this happening in a production 
environment.
