[rabbitmq-discuss] Diff b/w running RabbitMQ server as an application or as an service?

Hi,

While going through the documentation, I came across two terms, one is
*application
*and other is *service. *Can anyone please explain what is the difference
between running RabbitMQ server as an application or as an service?

And which one need to use in development?
