[rabbitmq-discuss] The message size will slow down the speed of RabbitMQ C library

Hi All:

I test the performance of the RabbitMQ C library and find a question. The
question is :

I use the example programs “amqp_prodcuer” and “amqp_consumer” to do the
test. 

When the speed of amqp_producer is 10000 messages per second and the size of
message is 256, the amqp_consumer is working find(getting 10000 messages per
second at amqp_consumer).

When the speed of amqp_producer is 10000 messages per second and the size of
message is 50, the speed of the amqp_consumer down to 400 messages per
second.

But I slow down the speed(form 10000 to 5000), any size of message are
working find.(getting 5000 message per second at amqp_consumer).

 

Ps:

The version of RabbitMQ C library is 0.3.0. 

Client OS is Windows 7 64 bits

RabbitMQ : 3.0.1 Erlang R15B03 running on Windows Server 2003 SP2
