I'm assuming you're wanting to do this from a script that runs while Chef is
configuring your Rabbit?

If so, please see:

http://www.rabbitmq.com/man/rabbitmqctl.1.man.html

under "change_password."  The rabbitmqctl command, when scripted, will do
what you need.
