Thanks a lot for you help. I will try the SSL branches (SSL /
SSL-plumbing) and hope that they are in a stable state.
My alternative solutions:
1. Try Qpid c++ client API (interoperability concerns)
2. Use of stunnel as a SSL proxy
3. Develop my own SSL proxy with the rabbitmq Java API
are therefore obsolete.
