(putting the list back on cc)

the results of the endoscopy of your rabbit is that the hanging 
'rabbitmqctl list_connections' is caused by a bug we fixed in 2.8.7 
("fix possible deadlock during broker shutdown" in the release notes, 
but it turns out this can also affect connection closure). So I suggest 
you upgrade.
