[rabbitmq-discuss] .Net Client: Why is a channel called a model?

Hi all,

I'm new to RabbitMQ and have been using the .Net client. In the tutorials,
AMQP documentation and the Java examples all refer to channels, is there a
reason why channels appear to be called models in the .Net driver?

Is there some history or context I'm missing?

Thanks for your help,

Marc
