Also, are the tests reproduced faithfully? For example, the 150kHz 
headline-grabbing figure was obtained with:

- the latest Erlang (R15B at the time; R15B01 right now)
- RabbitMQ HiPE compilation enabled
- several producers running in parallel
- no queues, no consumers, i.e. published messages get routed nowhere
