[rabbitmq-discuss] Stuck log rotation in linux?

OK, I finally figured out what was going on. If rabbitmq-server is NOT
running, the postrotate action will start up the service. Not as a
spawned process but directly from logrotate. The logrotate process
will wait for the server to stop which is rather pointless. In my
opinion, the postrotate action should check for that condition. What
if log rotation occurs during scheduled maintenance when the server
isn't running?
