[rabbitmq-discuss] Statistics database could not be contacted

We recently started seeing a red warning message of "Statistics database 
could not be contacted. Message rates and queue lengths will not be shown." 
on the RabbitMQ Management web page for our test deployment. There's only 
one host in the cluster. Version is 2.6.1 / R14B03.

Simon MacMullen suggested posting here. What do you need to diagnose?
