[rabbitmq-discuss] File descriptor limits in management plugin

Hi everybody,

I'm currently running RabbitMQ 2.2.0 with the most recent
(pre-packaged) management plugin. The web console "Nodes and Ports"
section says that I'm using about 800 of 1024 available file
descriptors, which confuses me a bit since my OS limit is set to about
100000. Is this just a bug in the management console or does the
Erlang VM somehow override this system-wide setting?
