[rabbitmq-discuss] RabbitMQ 2.1.0 talking to older client

Is there a way I can get an older client (1.7.x) to talk to a RabbitMQ 2.1.0
server?  We are weeks away from being able to deploy a new client release to
one of our customers, but our admin side is desperate to get the last of our
servers upgraded to 2.1.0.  Right now, I get protocol errors because of the
AMQP 0-8/0-9-1 change.
