[rabbitmq-discuss] php_rabbitmq & Windows

I want to clarify that no one is asking RabbitMQ or Lshift to officially
support anything. This is just one guy who is working very hard to help
RabbitMQ be accessible to more people by writing a PHP extension and C++
library, and who was hoping someone in the community might be able to
compile the PHP extension on a windows box for another RabbitMQ user who
doesn¹t have the chops to do so.
I was disappointed to see these two responses from a community that so often
lends a helping hand. Furthermore, I would like to point out that the only
way for the C library to make it out of the experimental status is for the
community to test it in a billion different scenarios, and hopefully find a
maintainer to support Tony in its continued development. This is an
opportunity for the former, and, you never know, maybe for the latter.
So, again, to the community, Alex is looking for help from someone who can
compile the PHP extension on a windows box and run a sanity test against a
broker. The source for the library is here:
http://code.google.com/p/php-rabbit/
Thanks,
Pieter
