Are you in prod yet? If not, then why not leave the situation as it
was in order to be able to reproduce the issue?

Or do you have a staging environment? The reason why I ask is because
if it were reproducible, then you could clone an image off for us to
look at. If it is not reproducible, then we have limited information
with which to diagnose the problem.

FWIW this is an old school version of Erlang (but it is supported
because it's in Debian). We have noticed a lot of improvements in
Rabbit through newer versions of Erlang, but none that would explain
the behaviour you are seeing AFAICT.
