[rabbitmq-discuss] RPC compatibility of RabbitMQ with OpenAMQ

Greetings -

Our group wants to make RPC-like calls from RabbitMQ to OpenAMQ.
Asynchronous
direct calls work, and the RabbitMQ com.rabbitmq.client.RpcClient class can
send a
message to the OpenAMQ server, but the OpenAMQ server's response is never
received
by the RabbitMQ client.

Do you have any advice on making the RabbitMQ client get responses from an
OpenAMQ
server?

Is the handling of response messages supposed to be done in a standard way,
or is
there some leeway in the AMQP specification for implementation deviations?
