As Alexis mentions, Matthias and I have been working on an Erlang
client that offers both networked (i.e. TCP based) conectivity and
native Erlang connectivity (i.e. without any network framing) using
the same user interface (so that you can use an embedded rabbit
instance or any remote AMQP server transparently). We went through
many design iterations and have come up with something useable, which
at some stage may go into the rabbit release in the future.
Unfortunately I have just gone on holiday so I didn't get any time to
finish off the last issues that Matthias and I have discussed. So if
you can wait until I get back (mid Sept) you can get a beta-version.
You can also get what I've currently got, but there are some pending
fixes and API changes. I'd like to get it done whilst being away, but
I would incur the wrath of my girlfriend :-(

HTH,

Ben
